Tutoring
As a teacher, I love helping people to build up their understanding.
Working one-to-one is often the best way to figure out what works best for a particular individual.
Which sort of explanation will lead to an "Aha!" moment for them?
Are there some hidden misconceptions that need to be uncovered and overcome?
Time-permitting, I have some availability for one-to-one tutoring:
- Math (middle school, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus, Calculus, Linear algebra)
- Coding (Python, Matlab, javascript)
- Data science (statistics, computational data analysis, libraries such as NumPy and scikit-learn)
- Test-prep (math and English sections of SHSAT / ISEE / SAT / ACT / GRE)
This can be online, or in-person within NYC.
